Exopolitics Pioneer Zecharia Sitchin charged by Federal grand jury on "2012" issues

Hello. My name is Sam Wilson. I am a new attorney at Akin Gump
Strauss Hauer Feld LLP (hired two months ago). I am working as staff to
a co-counsel in the case. We were hired by Zecharia Sitchin to prepare
his defense. A federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York
has charged him with five counts of which I will explain:
1. Contempt of Court: He (Sitchin) is charged with violating a court
order to hand over documents to the government he is alleged to have
used in one of his books
2. False Statements: He is accused of making false statements before
a grand jury investigating Rob Solorion and others for fraud
3. Possesion of False Papers: He is charged with making false documents meant to defraud the United States Government
4. Conveying False Information: The charge is saying that Sitchin
conveyed false information in his books, amounting to a hoax in
violation of the US Code.
5. Advocating Overthrow of US Government: His final charge is
telling (advocating) the violent overthrow of the government in a
speech in 2005 and more recently in January of this year
I am following this case because I heard during our confrence, that
many believe the US government is trying to stop the knowledge of 2012
conspiracies. While I do not personally support that ideal, I still
believe this trial should be known (As a working assistant to his
lawyers, I am immune to a part of the gag order and can reveal limited
information).

On Monday, the proceedings opened, and he plead not guilty to all
charges. He was able to post bail at $100,000. On September 5th, a
hearing on pre-trial motions will occur. And on September 14th, a
Preliminary Hearing otherwise known as a probable cause hearing will
start. The hearing's purpose is to decide if there is enough evidence
to proceed with a trial.

This Week on the Blog
On Monday, defense attorneys for Zecharia Sitchin will file Freedom
of Information Act requests to several governmental agencies for
documents relating to a criminal trial. They intend to file a Rule 16
motion in federal court in the case they refuse to hand over the
requested papers. A Rule 16 motion, if granted, forces the government
to give documents needed in a criminal trial.
Either Tuesday or Wednesday, the opening proceedings of the criminal
case will be fully scanned and open to the public. They will be posted
in full.
By the end of the week, attorneys plan to ask the District Court to
allow reporters in the courtroom during the trial. The current gag
order restricts publication of the proceedings to a very minimal degree.

Defense to file Freedom of Information Act request
Attorneys for Zecharia Sitchin plan to file a Freedom of Information
Act request (FOIA) with the Department of Justice, the National
Security Agency/NSA, and the Department of Homeland Security, in
relation to the Zecharia Sitchin trial. They are trying to get hold of
documents that the US Attorney's Office will not hand over. The drafts
note that the requested documents are essential to securing a good
defense of Sitchin. The requested documents include grand jury
evidence, witness statements, and the FBI's complete file on Sitchin.
If the filings fail, they intend to file a Rule 16 motion with the
federal court dealing with the case.

Zecharia Sitchin on Trial
Zecharia Sitchin, has written many books on the subject of ancient
Mayan stories of the end of the world and on an ancient race of what
some may call "aliens". A grand jury charged him with five charges,
each of which to he plead not guilty. I will post information on the
trial as it happens.

Leave It The Way The Sumerians Had It
Says Author Zecharia Sitchin
Our solar system has only eight "classical" planets - so has decided
the astronomer's union, meeting in Prague. Pluto - still out there -
must be laughing.
It is ironic - or, perhaps, symbolic - that the decision to deprive
Pluto of its status as our sun's ninth planet coincides with the 30th
anniversary of the publication of my seminal work The Twelfth Planet in
Autumn l976. In it I suggested that the Sumerian Epic of Creation is
not an allegorical myth but a sophisticated cosmogony scientifically
describing how our solar system came to be; and it most definitely
included Pluto.
Inscribed on seven clay tablets, the text described how the inner
and outer planets appeared; how an invading celestial body ("Nibiru")
collided with and broke up the planet 'Tiamat', creating "a new
heaven;" and how Nibiru, captured in a great elliptical orbit, became
the twelfth member of the Sun's Family - Sun, Moon, and ten planets
including Earth, Nibiru and Pluto. These 'celestial gods' were matched
by a pantheon of twelve deities on Earth.
The reports from Prague at first suggested that astronomers were
bothered by Pluto's small size, now that a large icy body has been
found farther out. But the final vote focused on what has troubled
astronomers almost from Pluto's discovery in 1930. Its unusual
inclined orbit that weaves in and out of Neptune's path.
This odd orbit has led some astronomers to speculate that Pluto
began its life as a satellite, perhaps of Neptune. But what forceful
event could have caused it to shift position and adopt a strange orbit?
No one knew. But in The 12th Planet I wrote that the Sumerians of
ancient Mesopotamia knew: Pluto ("GAGA" in the Epic of Creation) was
indeed a moon of Saturn, pried off and sent into independent orbit by
the invading Nibiru to play an important role in those celestial
encounters.
In fact, the Sumerians were also aware that Gaga/Pluto ended up in
the odd orbit next to Neptune. In the Sumerian pantheon, the planet we
call Neptune was the celestial counterpart of the Aquarius god Enki.
His 'chancellor' or 'visier' was nicknamed Ushmu, meaning "He 'of two
faces" - and so was he depicted, with one face looking at Enki and a
second face looking away from him (Fig. 1) - exactly the way Pluto
looks at Neptune.
The Epic of Creation and other relevant Sumerian texts are supported
by other pictorial depictions, such as the cylinder seal VA-243 in the
Berlin Near Eastern Museum. (Fig.2). It shows the sun in the center
(!), surrounded by eleven orbiting bodies that include the Moon, Pluto
and the yet to be recognized "Planet X" -- Nibiru.
Sumerian knowledge of the origin and makeup of our solar system
included a host of other aspects that modern science has been
rediscovering in recent times. Here, suffice it to say: The Sumerians,
counted Pluto as a member in good standing of our Sun's Family; let it
stay so.

Back to the Face on Mars
While Scientific American has probably in mind future astronauts,
the new discoveries have important implications for the presence on
Mars of "ancient astronauts," and have a bearing on the issue of the
famed (and controversial) Face on Mars.
In his various volumes of The Earth Chronicles series, Zecharia
Sitchin has provided ancient evidence, both texts on clay tablets and
illustrations from cylinder seals, showing that Mars served as a way
station for the Anunnaki "gods" in their space travels from Nibiru to
Earth. (See also the article "Was the 'Face' depicted 4,500 years ago?"
on this website).
In The Lost Book of Enki (2004) Zecharia wrote in regard to the Face
on Mars that it marked the burial place of an Anunnaki leader named
Alalu - that a great rock, fashioned in the image of his face wearing
an astronaut's helmet, covered a cave in which the dead Anunnaki leader
was laid to rest.
The existence on Mars of large caves ('caverns') topped by shaped
rock structures â€" now revealed by NASA's new discoveries â€" was thus
actually written about first in Zecharia's The Lost Book of Enki three
years earlier.

THE JERUSALEM CHALICE: A CLUE TO PIVOTAL EVENTS
As excited anticipation for the release of The End of Days on April
3rd rises, questions have been asked about the central image on the
cover design â€" an ancient coin on which a chalice is depicted: What is
it, what does it signify, and why does it suggest a nuclear device?
Readers of the book will find the explanation in the chapter titled
"Jerusalem: A Chalice, Vanished," which deals with the epic events of
the Last Supper â€" the traditional meal ushering the Passover holiday
which Jesus celebrated with his disciples in Jerusalem â€" immortalized
in Da Vinci's famed painting.
"The presence of a wine goblet dedicated to the prophet Elijah is an
essential part of the ceremonial meal," Zecharia Sitchin, author of The
End of Days, said. "So, as in a famed Sherlock Holmes mystery where
the clue to solving the crime was the question. Why did the dog not
bark, I realized that the clue to the painting's message or 'code' is
the question: Why is this ritual wine goblet, that scriptures mention,
not shown?"
Equally enigmatic is the appearance of a chalice's image on a
Freedom Coin struck by the Jewish rebels against the Roman rulers in
Jerusalem, not long after Jesus was accused of claiming to be the rebel
"King of the Jews." The book thus puts in context the mystery of the
'Holy Grail'.
Showing how those events in Jerusalem were the pivot connecting the
Past with the Future, the book uses the very words of the biblical
Prophets to suggest that the nuclear threats of the twenty-first
century A.D. are an echo of the actual use of nuclear devices in the
twenty-first century B.C. Thus the nuclear aspect of the Chalice Coin
â€" a link to the book's subtitle: Armageddon and Prophecies of the
Return.
Is it just a coincidence that this explosive book is being released
during the Passover/Easter week? Not if one believes that there is no
such thing as 'coincidences'…

Zecharia Sitchin's 7th and concluding book of The Earth Chronicles
series will be published at the end of March 2007, the publisher Harper
Collins has announced.
In this book titled The End of Days: Armageddon and Prophecies of
the Return, Zecharia Sitchin confronts such questions as why it is that
our current twenty-first century A.D. is so similar to the twenty-first
century B.C.? Is history destined to repeat itself? What does the
future hold? Will biblical prophecies come true, and if so, when?
Are the ancient gods still here or did they leave? Will they
return? What will happen then? Will there be another Deluge or
