In the book The Secret Science Behind Miracles you will learn the Force behind the Knowledge of the Masters of the Ages. The book teaches you how to work with your spirit along with the incorporeal and the great design of the Universe. It also teaches you what happens to those who use these powers wrongfully with wrong intent.
The book was written by Max Freedom Long a former Baptist who attended the Catholic Church often and later studied Christian Science and ended by making a survey of all religions whose literatures were available to him. He majored in Psychology at school.
I believe he wrote this book because of the Christian persecution of the Holy Practitioners of these Kahuna practices. In the Contents, and I quote: "Strange stories of Kahunas (Keepers of the Secret). History of Polynesian magic. Arrival of white man. Failure of white man's magic, and outlawing of Kahuna magic. Christianity versus Huna. Dr. William Tufts Brigham, curator of the British Museum. Forty years of research by Dr. Brigham and its results. Three essentials to understanding Huna. The key to the Secret. Unihipili and uhane, subconscious and conscious. Experiences of William Reginald Stewart in Africa. The twelve tribes in Africa, linking with Polynesians through the Secret."
I believe he wrote the book after being stunned by fire-walking in Hawaii, saw a film made by a man who went to Burma to observe a Buddhist firewalking initiation ceremony where they burned a mountain of coals 50 feet long and 5 feet high for ten hours, spread the coals into a long path {150 feet long or longer??}, and then had the initiates walk slowly and confidently across the whole burning expanse. Three got burned badly!
"A very bent and feeble old man had entered the fire. His hands were stretched imploringly upward. After the first few steps he began staggering. He hesitated, leaped into the air, plunged wildly forward and fell. Instantly attendants were at the side of the bed of coals, long drag-hooks in their hands. They labored frantically, rolling the smoking body over and over. They dragged it clear, coals sticking to the burned flesh. A jar of water was dashed over the still form and it was lifted and carried swiftly away."
"Dead before they got him out..." said a low voice at my elbow. I started slightly, having momentarily forgotten my friend. "But that didn't stop them; they kept going right through."
Discover Channel has a program I watched the other night which was made up to debunk the miracle of firewalking by saying it is scientific that the feet do not get burned. On this show they had a 15-20 foot long bed of coals. Everyone was tippy toeing through them and finally, when they took a blower to the coals, a single man skipped through them without getting burned. Amazing stunt. Prove it's not so. They still have this film of the firewalking ritual in Burma. Why not show this?? This film is authentic. 150 feet of burning coals walked through slowly with great dignity or skipping across 15-20 feet of coals timidly??
Why do some in Burma get burned?? The ritual is to test for purity of karma relative to entry into the religious monastary or temple. If you are impure like women, you don't even get a chance to try. If you are a pure man you won't get burned. Sounds like women are slaves to devils there. I don't mind the initiation rite, but I do not like people condemned to impurity from birth. And I do not like the Discover Channel for kids either. I want truth... I do not want one or another man's various delusions presented to me as truth. I do not want timid half-truths.
