I have a girlfriend in Cleveland who has a Web Page column in her Newspaper.
This explains what I am getting, now.
Last night @ 6:30 pm CDT; 7:30 pm Cleveland Time, I began to download the Theme From Bara-t from the Opera which apparently is being downloaded like hotcakes in Ohio.
For 30 minutes the file downloaded at the abysmal speed of .7K/sec. Then, for 10 minutes, it downloaded @ .9K/sec.
This went on for one hour or more.
I have all of my htms at a server here in Wisconsin. That is why you don't have the correct coding for the Opera pages.
The coding IS correct. I corrected it in August when I first got your server @ Panacom.
Right now, @ 6:25 pm CDT; 7:25 Cleveland Time, I am trying to download another file.
It began to download at 6 pm CDT, 7pm Cleveland Time, at the abysmal rate of .4K/sec.
I will check it now @ 6:28 pm CDT; 7:28 pm Cleveland Time...
.5K/sec.
This alone, tonight, will take them 1 hour and thirty minutes to download....
1 Theme from the Opera.
This last Sunday, the 19th of September 1999, @ 9:30 am CDT; !0:30 am Cleveland Time, I tried to download a Theme File.
.9K/sec.
At 1 pm CDT; 2pm Cleveland Time, I tried another Theme File.
.7K/sec.
This went on all day Sunday.
I am also getting thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of hits World-Wide every day.
I am either the fastest growing Web Page you have, or else I am the Number #1 Web Page you have on your server.
When I was with CI Host International, they had to move me to a faster server.
What exactly do you advise at this juncture, Folks???
